L'AQUILA – 2023 will be the year in which a new Way will be born in Abruzzo. It is 61 kilometers long, crosses some of the most beautiful and unspoiled landscapes of the region, the most iconic villages and bears the name of the highest peak of the Apennines, an authentic brand for an emerging region from a tourist point of view: the Gran Sasso.
The project, which was awarded the tender by Gal Gran Sasso-Velino, as part of Measure 19-Leader participatory local development support - sub-measure 19.2 aimed at sustainable tourism - will be presented to the press next Thursday, 9 February at 10.30 in the Rivera room of Palazzo Fibbioni, in via San Bernardino all'Aquila.
The president of the association Il Cammino del Gran Sasso, Federico Ciocca, the president of the Gal, Paolo Federico, the president of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park Tommaso Navarra, the owner of the Special Office for reconstruction of the municipalities of the crater (Usrc) Raffaello Fico, the mayors of L'Aquila, Pierluigi Biondi, and of the other four municipalities involved, Fabrizio D'Alessandro of Barisciano, Fabio Santavicca of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, Paolo Baldi of Calascio and Matteo Pastorelli of Castel del Monte.
