The Cagiò farm is located only 5 minutes from the centre of Castelli, perched on a hill overlooking the area, surrounded by meadows where their cattle grazes freely, just like the old days. Franca Ruffini is a wonderful person and an excellent hostess, who loves and respects her animals so much, that she calls them all by name. This affection is reflected in the dairy products she produces, which are rigorously controlled, and matured on wooden shelves like they used to in the past.
The farm has an on-site shop, and is also equipped to give you and your children a unique experience in the dairy, explaining the process and letting you make your own cheese.

The company was founded in 1949 in Isola del Gran Sasso by grandfather Antonio, who was passionate about olive oil and passed down the art of making olive oil to his grandchildren.
Thanks to its limited production, and the microclimate due to the influence of the nearby mountains, the olives here are naturally free from parasites and other negative impacts, so no chemical interference is required to guarantee the highest quality of the final product.
But it is mostly the work at the olive press that honours and enhances the work done in the olive grove. The olives are harvested in the month of October, for the most part by hand, and are delivered to the olive press within a few hours. There they are transformed into real GREEN GOLD, using the latest generation of modern cold pressing systems.
The result is a truly unique product, that deserves tasting.

The rolling hills of Tossicia, between the rushing streams of the Valle Siciliana and the imposing mountains of the Gran Sasso, are home to this attractive, well-organised and very modern farm: Podere Santa Lucia.
The farm rears its own animals in well-maintained stables with ample outdoor pastures for grazing. They follow the SLOW breeding criteria, which focusses on the well-being of the animals, allowing them to graze outside when the weather is good, and additionally feeding them with hormone-free and antibiotics-free fodder.
All their products are produced on-site and sold in the on-site shop or home delivered. Their product range includes cuts of beef and pork, and dried meats prepared and cured directly on the farm.

The top quality of these products has become their trademark, and the business has become widely recognized and appreciated in a relatively short time.
